How to install an Air Fuel Ratio Gauge? 1968 Camaro

Sorry, dumb it down for me.. 0 electrical experience especially on classics.
I'm looking to get an AFR gauge to monitor from Autometer or others. I have Autometer gauges now, the basic Temps, Oil, Volts.

How do you hook up an AFR gauge and have it read accurately? thanks. (LS engine)

Easiest way is to buy a gauge/kit. Insert wideband 02 and wire gauge. It's less hassle to leave the factory narrowband in-place for ECU/PCM function, and the wideband for tuning/reference.

I've had good luck with Innovate's stuff of the years.

What ECU are you currently using? Do you want a wideband O2 sensor kit or narrow band?

Are you using a GM ECU or something like Holley EFI?

The GM ECUs use narrow band O2 sensors. If you want the gauges to match, you can get one of the Autometer wideband gauges:

      https://www.autometer.com

GO to Gauge type and select "air fuel ratio."

You will need to add a bung to your exhaust to mount the O2 sensor.
