      400 turbo Gear Vendors OD

I'm considering a new project. A 88 C1500. It has a 305/400 turbo combo. I would be replacing the 305 with something in the 450 crank hp range. I've been looking at the Gear Vendors OD to bolt on the back of the 400. Or a built 700/200R. Any opinions? Either trans 400/700R/200R with a 2500 stall converter.
I would be doing this in stages. OD of some sort first with rear gear change to 4:10's.
