      1970 Hellcat Challenger Build!!!

Hey all, starting on my 70 Challenger hellcat swap. I picked up the car 5 months ago and started ordering parts immediately. Only rust was the trunk pan and I'm replacing that now. I'm also going to minitub at the same time. Once I get that finished I'll start taking the original motor/trans out.

Build will consist of the following:

RMS Alterktion front coilover suspension +1" Forward with ridetech shocks
RMS rear street lynks 4 link with a ford 9"
      Willwood brakes all around
New 2018 Hellcat Redeye long Block
2.4 supercharger ported supercharger by Jokerz performance
      E85
      Holley center sump oil pan
      Holley Trans Crossmember & mount
      Factory Auto 8hp90 transmission
      Dakota Digital Gauges

I'll be sure to log and update the build as it progresses. I'm doing everything myself when time permits.

Let me know what you guys thinkName: IMG_8895.jpg

Beautiful car. Looking forward to the build.
      My half a$$ed build thread.https://www.pro-touring.com/threads/...elle-6-0-4L60E

Tighten it till it strips & back it off a quarter turn.

I got the US Cartool frame notch just about finished on the driver's side. I need to weld in a strip of metal for the minitub. I hope to start on the pass side this weekend. Slowly Making progress.

      This should be really cool!

What are the current plans for engine and transmission management? I am currently working on Holley EFI and TurboLamik 8HP TCU integration.

Standalone engine and trans harness from Chris @ hotwire auto. He's not cheap but probably the most knowledgeable on the hemi platform. I'll be utilizing the stock pwm fuel set up with a tank from ricks. I have a tapped performance dual pump set up from my charger hellcat. In the end the fuel system will be like a factory hellcat.

How is the Holley stuff? I looked into it briefly but it didn't seem they had much for the hellcat when I looked back then.

Pretty much have the pan fitted for the last time. I got all the holes drilled for the spot welds finished this evening. Weld through primer is in the right places as well. I should have the pan finished up this weekend. After that I'll complete the mini tubs then onto the suspension 😁

I got the driver's side minitub welded in. Just need to grind down all of the plug welds & seam seal. I'll stich weld the inside and use seam sealer as well.

One step closer to starting on the suspension.

Different skill levels, different speed levels. If you only have to do it once, you did all right. Have you got to talk to users of the ecu package you mentioned to see how well it has performed?

The Holley EFI works great, but there is no HellCat specific harness that is available.

This is going to be awesome. My 12-year-old son wants to build the exact same challenger/hellcat combo. I'll be watching this closely.

Finished up the mini tubs and trunk pan. I'm working on the subframe connectors now. I have posted some videos on YouTube as well. I also made some casters so I can remove the rear end and still roll the car around.
