Canbus protocol convertor?

I have a Pioneer radio in my daily (2006 Mercedes G55) with the iDataLink Maestro RR, which from the CANBUS, will display engine parameters on the radio without having to add additional gauges. My issue is that my car's canbus protocol is not supported by the Maestro. If I hook up to a different car, I can read all the data I need. I have tried different BUS locations in my car with no success. Is there such a thing as a convertor to change CAN protocol? I can plug in other scantools to my car and they read the data fine, so I know the data is there, this unit just wont interpret it.
