      New from Alberta Canada

      Hello from Alberta.
I am just finishing up a 6 year build on my 68 RS. Ride Tech all around. 5.3 LS swap with FiTech ultimate LS and 4l60-e.
Having issues with rear diff noise, new gear set (twice) I am now thinking my noise is being channeled into the car from the 4 Link?
I will search this site and post on the appropriate thread.

      Thank you

      Doug

Yes I have a hoist, you can hear it, I added some butyl and MLV in the trunk yesterday in hopes it will dampen the noise, I haven't driven it since, hopefully tonight. I put several layers of dampening in the main body tub.
I will report back on whether it was of any benefit.

No noticeable change, drive and coast whine 45 to 60 MPH, classic signature.

weird ,is it a gear whine or a bearing you think .... ( were all bearings changed when the different gear sets were changed )

Yes a gear whine, near a 100kph with a slight addition of power and the noise stops, then returns on coast.
second set of new bearings as well.
Motive tech support as well as my self attribute a lot to the rigid 4 link heim joints and coil over.

What brand of gearset? Quality matters here. I picked the cheaper route (don't recall the brand) and I get a slight whine at cruise.
