      71 Nova Hydraulic clutch help.

      Hey all,

I have a 71 Nova ls/tremec setup. I'm in the midst of the hydraulic clutch install and I'm stuck. Here is what I have.

Detroit speed clutch master cylinder bracket.

GM Master cylinder P/N 12570277 (Detroit speed said to use)

      Clayton Machine pedals.

I have mounted everything and cut the hole in the firewall, all simple and straight forward. Here is my problem.

      1) The rod from the master cylinder is way too long
      2) The rod from the master cylinder seems to be at the wrong angle?

I saw Speed ttech kit has an end for the rod with a heim joint?
Do I need a clevis on the pedal?

What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated!

Some pictures would be helpful. Have you contacted DSE, since you are using their bracket?

I'm going through similar learning struggles right now and need to buy parts.

Do you have the DSE (or similar) angle-changing-adapter between the bracket and the M/C? I was told it was needed to provide proper geometry.
