      RPM Gauge Signal

I have an LS3 cruise and connect kit from GM. In the wiring harness there's an RPM wire that connects to the RPM gauge. I have speedhut gauges, they supplied a 4.7 ohm resistor that gets wired to the RPM wire from the harness. Once connected as per speedhut instructions, the rpm's don't seem to climb as much as I would think it should. Idles at 500 but just seems sluggish. Has anyone experienced this and what did you do to fix it?

      Thanks in advance
      Perry

      Set tach for 4 cylinder.

Scratch that it says set tach for 2 pulses per rev when using the ECU signal. Also, the resistor goes between the signal wire and the 12v wire on the tach. It is a pull up resistor as the signal from the ECU is weak.
