      Cowl induction airbox questions.

I'm looking to build a air box to enclose my air filter assembly on my 71 Monte Carlo and pull air from the cowl. On the cowl side I will be cutting a hole into the same part of the cowl that the heater and a/c pull air through. Will I have issues with the heat and a/c pulling fuel fumes into the passenger compartment or am I going to have to seal them off from each other?

I would say yes you would get some fumes , even with a separator. Im not sure if going this route is best . Unless you could somehow pull engine air from the far driver side and hvac from the far passenger side

You’ll smell it with a carburetor.
