Rule of thumb for tire clearance from 4 link suspension bars?

I am looking at some new wheels and tires for my car and wondering what is a good rule of thumb for rear tire clearance to run on a spirited driven car with 4 link rear suspension on 18 or 19" wheels.

      Thanks
      Greg

I'd want at least 1/2-3/4" between the tires and anything else...

Thanks Andrew, I kinda figure about that but wasn't sure how much movement there is in a 4 link setup and low profile tires. I have roughly 1 1/8" clearance from any suspension components now.

On my factory triangulated 4 link w/ heim joint type bushings I have finger width clearance and haven't ever rubbed. And this car gets driven like it was stolen (Suches Loop, Tail of the Dragon, local SCCA autocross, country roads). Running 255/40/17 if it matters, I'm sure sidewall height/deflection/bushing type will play into how close you want to go.

video showing how much tires deflect and this was only at 22 degree swings. -11 to +11.
