69 Camaro with steroids. over assisted

      Hi guys

I've been reading up. This kit allows you apparently to lower the pressure of the pump and get a less assisted feel.

Has anyone experience with doing this and how many shims did you use to get the feel you wanted?

      Many thanks

I've ordered the kit and will report back in a couple of months when the new engine is in.

All changing those shims will do is allow the power steering to work or not..

Your looking for a blueprinted box with a 30 to 40 pound valve. I have the Lee 14:1 with a 13" steering wheel.. They take a brand new 800 Series box and take it all apart and do there magic to it. What I have with there box is a dream come true. My 69 el Camino has a lot of feel to it now. Going down the road its kind of like having a fast ratio manual box but parking is like a power steering box.. Its fantastic!! It gave me what I was looking for by adding positive caster and all kinds of different alignment settings..
