      Steering wheel hanger/hook w/no cage?

I'm in a position where I have a removable steering wheel that I actually use all the time getting in and out, but I have no roll cage or bar to attach a traditional hanger/hook to.

How are you guys storing your steering wheel when you don't have a roll cage? I'd think someone would make a 3D printed one that attaches where the rearview mirror does as the Miata guys do. It sandwiches between the headliner and the rearview mirror mount. But of course we need a version for our cars and style of mirror mounting.

      Thanks!

Up on the dash, throw it on the floor board, or if parking the car I take it with me.

It's a $725 custom Momo, so I'd rather not just toss it somewhere.

Set it nicely on the floor? Put it back on the column?

Fabricate a nice stainless hook and bolt it in as you proposed? One small piece of 1/8 plate, one piece of 1/4" rod bent look a hook, one cute little tig weld. Polish, paint, or powder coat. Install.

Maybe something like this … or a one off depending on your seats...

Thanks for the suggestion but my Recaros had an integrated headrest.

The solution I've fallen on, for now, is that when I add a removable harness bar, I'll use that.
