I’m waiting on fuel lines and fitting right now. Should be here this week. Then I’m back on this one. I’m also just started a 69 Camaro build, I’m supposed to be retired.😂

New fuel lines ran ,started installing exhaust and cold side
Its so much easier to do on the rotisserie. Waste gates installed.
Brake lines to the rear end completed.

A project on wheels is always better unless you have one of the forklifts with 8' forks. It's good to see green in the trees in the background. We may live through another winter.

I am a little confused as to how the wastegates are plumbed and why they are so far back in the exhaust system.

based on information I could find, the waste gates are best at a 90% before the turbo. So when the throttle pedal is let off the gas’s coming from the motor will hit the gates in a straight line to vent off excess gas’s.
this turbo thing is an experiment for me to see if I can make it work.
im prepared to make changes to the system in the event it doesn’t work out or I just don’t like how it works.😊

Since I was doing metal work on the 69 Camaro this morning and I had put 6 hours on it.
Took a brake to rest then back to the garage to work on the Eldog.
I needed to make the cover for the shifter hole in the 69 Elcamino couple hours later this is what I got.

1969 Elcamino project
Picked up the drive shaft Friday and some other parts needed for this car and the 69 Camaro build.
I decided that I wanted the metal dash to be removable so that’s what I’ve done. Cut all the welded pieces off then cut and trimmed until it fit.
Next up I will try to build a new gauge cluster out of metal.
I want to make a mount for the Holley dash display to mount in. The last picture is the display unit.

Lots of interesting stuff there. I know the rear mount turbo's have been used for sometime. I will be interested to hear about turbo lag after you start driving it. Once you have the tuning ironed out, I wonder if it will be very noticeable? I like the bolt in dash. For us old guys who can't see and stand on our heads, that is a great solution.

Today’s work,Dash holes rough cut for the gauges . I got to hammer and dolly it back straight now. I have a love/hate relationship with hole saws.��
Gauge layout and some pie cuts to get the gauges at the right angle.
