I plan to do some heat shielding on the back wall and floors under the car. The floor of the smugglers box will be ventilated as well as the cover I plan to build over top of the turbo,
that should also help let heat out of the bed area.David Sloan

Worked on the exhaust from the turbo to the rear today. Trying to build it with some left over parts and a used 3” exhaust from a 2000 Camaro.

Very cool update with the rear mount turbo. Should be lots of fun making turbo noises.

Any thoughts of using the top of a truck box to cover the turbo for a stealthy look?

Little more progress on the exhaust. Lol the struggle is real! Can you say built not bought/ recycling at it’s best. Trying to build this y section bought kicked my but. I had a old exhaust system from a 4th gen Camaro and some leftover 3” tubing from my Camaro build. This is what I got so far.

So I have gone as far as I can until the 2.5” and 3” stainless tubing come in. I decided to work on the floor and tunnel today. Most everything is screwed together so I can remove when the tubing comes in to finish the turbo cold side.

Getting the gas pedal location figured out, I needed to mock up the seat and steering column again to make sure it all feels good together.

So this morning before I got started on the floors and tunnel I did a quick mock up of the parking brake calipers. I marked the Rearend housing so I can clean the old powder coat off to weld the mounting brackets the next time I pull the rear end.
