      Hammer forming

      I would like to great come gauges bezels and aluminum vents using hammer forming . What type and thickness of aluminum should I use?

      You can try a few different thicknesses but I would start with around .040 thick, maybe try some .063 thick, 3003 aluminum. You’ll need to anneal it before forming any sheet aluminum.
      McMaster sells smaller squares of it that aren’t too expensive for trials.
