Gaps between firewall and roll cage

I have a roll cage that extends through my firewall and attaches to my front subframe. What is the best way to fill, cover, etc. the small gaps between the tubing and firewall? Two pieces of aluminum riveted around the tubing? I'd rather not use body filler or some type of grommet.
