Ford 8.8" rear end- axle tube removal bo bo

I have a ford 8.8" housing from an explorer. I was removing the axle tubes to install longer ones.
While doing that, I was "machining" the tubes out of the housing bore. And got a little carried away. There is a gouge in the tube bore now. It is not the whole length of the bore so I think it will seal ok. A casting rib is located on the backside of where the gouge is.
What is your guy's thoughts on this? Should be ok to install tubes?
