      Bed Wrap Up

I think it turned out pretty sweet. Will powder coat decking down the road.

Awesome. What is that you are using for the bed?

Same question, what did you use to make the bed floor? I raised my bed floor 4” and also used stainless for the filler area below the tailgate. You do have an awesome build!

      Bed Material

The bed is Aluminum Bed Decking, mostly used in enclosed trailers. The attachment is all blind underneath. Kind of pricey and a bunch of hours but it turned out pretty cool.

      Molding Hole Patching

I saw this trick on You Tube. Really cuts down on heat needed.

I would be concerned about moisture collecting between washer and body panel. I make an exact size plug and attach a stud to it with a stud welder. Or just use one of these as a backer and weld it up.

Sorry if I misunderstood your method.

I thought about that and see your point. I didn't see how this would act any different then the multiple overlapping seems with spot welds on the pickup, besides my cars never see the rain Anyone who has worked on C10's knows what factory rust buckets they are.

I thought it was material from bleachers. Looks like the seating at a high school football game. Not trying to offend but, that may be the same material.

Is the plan to have gauges in the stock location as well as the dash?

The 12.3 can display all gauges but I will run a 4.5" Speedo and Tach on the Munsey Speed blank dash bezel.

I plan to do the same, but using the smaller dash for the auxiliary gauges.

I'm in love with this build already. My dad had this truck in this very color when I was around 13.

      .
      I'll wat it close.
