      Newbie from Canada

Just want to say hi from Ontario Canada. I have a 69 Firebird coupe that I bought a few years back. Plans to make a pro touring machine out of her. But still keep the car to its roots. I have a 455 Pontiac block for it. Plan is to put a 5 speed tremec, and mini tub. This project is going to be a long one as funds allow me. Since purchasing I’ve got started tearing her down and replacing panels. With my dads background of being a bodyman and my experience with it as well looking to get her looking nice again. This is what she looked like when I picked her up. Missing the front end. Name: 54862214072__42AAC431-E096-4E5B-B4C7-A861EBFAB24E.jpg

Welcome. Firebirds are great! Sounds like you will make it fly again. I'm in Ontario too.

      Hey Mark,

Nice to see another bird being restored here on Pro-Touring.

Any plans for suspension upgrades and or exterior modifications?

Thx. Yes it already has the ridetech suspension front and rear with coil overs. Also have the ridetech frame connectors. I have cut and tucked the rear bumper. Now it’s getting time to fit the LS 6 L with the 6 speed manual. Haven’t done much this summer but will now.

That is awesome. I love to hear that. Yeah the ridetech stuff is pretty intuitive I hear.

Do you have any more updates on the body repairs?

What she looks like today. Can see the bumper pockets were I pulled the ends in. I also shorted them too about an inch. Hard to tell unless you have a stock one beside it. Name: IMG_0231.JPG

These where some of the trial fitting. There will be an 3/16 gap all the way around.
