Engines direct from Chevrolet or authorized distributors?

I'm in California looking to purchase an LS427/570 and T56. I could do my local dealership here which would need to include tax, freight, and bringing the total to around $24k. I could do a place like Pace Performance in Ohio where there's no tax, free shipping, a Cyber Monday discount, and the total is around $17k. Is there any reason to not go with Pace? Is there any other authorized distributors you'd recommend?

I’ve purchased two engines from Pace and would definitely recommend them. The latest was a Gen V LT1 and I had it in 3 days (I live in Indiana but that’s still fast)...
