      Lt1 t56 to gen1 sbc

Hello. I hope someone can help me alleviate my worries or point me in the right direction of what I'm not seeing right I'm installing a Valeo pressure plate with a McLeod single clutch disc. The issue I'm having is in a static position while bolting down the pressure plate the center spring of the cone, the part that houses the pilot bearing, pushes out to trans is this normal?

I think I'm over thinking this but want to make sure. FYI this is with the flywheel on the bench not installed in the car. I tried and thought to pull it from the engine to get a better look..
      Thank you for any help.

I've not worked with an LT1 pressure plate, but that sounds right. What brand and model number pressure plate?

      Here are some pictures.
As a reference put a pen across the pressure plate spring face, also you can see the space between the pp and the flywheel before bolting down.
Its a McLeod t56 to gen1 aluminum flywheel

Thanks randy. I tried pm you but your box was full. So thats normal for that face of the spring to be pushed out after tightening the bolts? I know its a pull style disc,it just thru me off seeing the spring cone going angled to flat after bolting the pp down.
      Guess just install it.

randy i found some 2inch Long grade 8 shoulder bolts at my local McFadden-dale hardware under $6.00 for all six!

I didn't think to torque the bolts to the pp,and see if I could spin the clutch pilot tool to see if its grabbing.

My brother use to work at McLeod in the early 2000's. He said the have a special fixture he would use to hold down the flywheel/pp assembly and a tool with a fork would pull up on the pilot bearing to see if the pp spring was releasing the disc.
Thank you guys for the help.
