I'm guessing the car weighs 3800lbs or more. I haven't ever weighed it.
Nearly identical to mine... 224/228 112 LSA +4. .604/580 lift...

And my truck is likely a couple hundred pounds less. Clearly yours is working better!

      Converter upgrade... meh. LOL

This is the first hot rod I've built with an auto and it will be my last. Its just not as fun to drive. Its getting ripped out for a 6 speed ASAP. I know it won't be faster but fun factor is much better. My 2500 converter is annoying to drive as it is, I can't imagine higher.

Thanks... Thats all good info, and your times make sense.
whose converter? I drive a 5000rpm Circle D and a 4600rpm PTC and it drives very very nice and is party time when you slam the pedal down.

I have a Hughes GM2500. Its not really the converters fault as much as my distain for automatics. Building the truck initially with an auto was a cost saving measure, until I could save up for a 6 speed.

No worries. Ultimately, you must build the truck you want. On the exhaust, research it. There's tons of information out there on how to select the correct size for each part of the system, from the head to the tip, for your engine size and intended use. You'll be much happier with the correct size pipes.

I definitely will take your advice and do some research on how to build the new exhaust. Its going to be fun seeing how the next iteration improves things!
