      Transmission Cooler

Any input on a Trans cooler, the radiator does not have the provision for a cooler. Car is a 80 Trans Am with a 4L60E behind an LS2 with a mild cam and a 10 inch converter. Preferably something with AN fittings

I like the "stacked" fin type like B&M offers. They have npt fitting so they can be adapted to -6 easily. The one in my C10 is 7.5" x 11.5". Mine is mounted in front of the radiator so if I'm in traffic and the electric fan kicks in it pulls air thru the trans cooler.

Stacked plate coolers are the better choice. I personally prefer and use Derale. I'd say a 30K GVW would do it.

If you want to be even better, choose one with a fan running off a thermal switch and run a thermostat.

I'll chime in and give another vote for the stacked plate style coolers. Those are the most efficient and effective as long as you can get airflow across them.
