      69 Firebird Overflow tank

Is it necessary for a 69 Firebird to have a radiator overflow tank? They did not come with one back then did they? Thanks.

I run one for sure for several reasons. They did not come stock.

If you only street drive, have a bone stock engine, and keep the appropriate level in the radiator (an inch or two from the top) then you are good.

I've seen one from a 76 on Nova adapted to fit.
