      new paint. fender covers

      may be the wrong place for this question but I figure Body folks would have the best advice.

      Just getting my car back form bodyshop.. I wan the best fender covers I can but to protect the body ...

      Looking for advice / options for the best of the best I can get..

      Fender covers of any kind on a fresh paint job is never good idea.

      I go down to the local thrift shop and buy used quilts for almost nothing. Buy cotton type only and quilted type not the tied type. Then wash with a bunch softening additive. I tape them over the door sills. And once the doors and fenders are on tape the quilts to hold them in place as you work over the fenders. The thickness of the quilts helps prevent minor dings.

      Worse idea, dont use fender covers on nice paint..

      and will put a reqular set of cheap foam overs over the top of them ..
