ST 10 to TKO 600 swap

So after doing some research and parts hunting I discovered that the t56 was going to get quite expensive for my vortec sbc. I am not thinking of TKO 600 and would like some feedback wether I should buy a kit or piece it together?
My current set up is a vortec sbc(eventually going Holley sniper), posi with 3.55 gears, St 10 with 621 Bell housing . I’d obviously would like to use some of my old parts if possible but I can replace what is needed and makes sense for the upgrade.
what do you guys suggest?
