parking light turn signal - daytime running lights

I am smoothing the front valance and removing the parking light/ turn signal. This will be replaced by a custom housing that will be inset into valance to have a smooth look. While I am at it I would like to convert the parking lights to daytime running lights. The plan would be to use a clear cover and white LED for the daytime running lights. The turn signal would then use amber LED's.

My question is when the daytime running lights are on and I activate the turn signal, I would need the daytime light on that side to turn off. Any thoughts on how I would accomplish this?

They make numerous sizes. I have them on my bike. Work great. These do what you're wanting to do.

Tighten it till it strips & back it off a quarter turn.

That is what a switchback LED bulb will do. As the name implies the bulb is amber while it's blinking and then switches back to white when the signal is cancelled.

Here's what I used- Flexible strip lighting

I like them as they have a smooth look- and don't see the individual LEDs.

I used a 24"-AND you can cut them to size- have two inputs- turn (amber) and parking (or daytime running)

Nice use of the products out there. The only questionable part is holding up the heat and the elements (keeping them sealed up)
