      Help with fan controller wiring

      Hello all,
I know some of you have used the DC Controls fan controllers and may be able to help me wire this correctly. I am installing a Vintage Air AC, electric fan and a DC Controls FK75 fan controller. The Vintage Air has a trinary switch to turn on the electric fan when the AC comes on. I am not sure how to wire this with the fan controller. I am thinking I just connect the blue wire from the trinary switch to the blue wire(pin 14) of the FK75. I attached a picture of the schematic from Vintage Air. What do you guys think? I have been trying to contact DC Controls for several days now, but all my emails are getting kicked back.

      Brett,

Doesn't the FK75 have an AC wire? You would simply attach the wire from the trinary (blue) to the FK75 AC wire.

Well, that is what I am thinking. Looking for some reinforcement. The directions don't come across very clearly to me. Here is the text from the directions:

      AC input, temperature sensor
Install the red connector on pins 12-14. If the vehicle has air conditioning and a factory installed electric fan, connect the blue AC input wire of the harness to the unit and to the positive terminal of the OEM fan wiring harness. If the vehicle has air conditioning and originally came with a mechanical fan, connect the blue AC input wire of the harness to the air conditioning compressor input.

Connect it to the blue wire. I’ve done several of these.

Wait a second. The trinary in that pic is pulling the blue wire to ground. It needs to pull it to 12 volts. You need to connect the other trinary switch blue wire to 12 volts, not ground as shown in the wiring diagram.
