LS3 corvette water pump, where to tap for vent/steam port?

      Hey peoples,

Wheres a good spot to tap the the ls3 Corvette water pump for the vent/steam line?

Also, how come the coolant wont go up into the new tapped vent port and into the steam lines?.

Thanks in advance for the reply.

After watching this link ( https://www.holley.com/blog/post/why..._steam_tubes_/ ) everything makes sense now. I had asked this question because on my water pump, I had tapped behind the outlet port ( see 2:22 of the video link ) of the water pump instead of from the top of the water pump like everybody else.

My confusion was I thought the top port was the coolant inlet, therefore water would push into the steam vent port where I tapped. But, its the outlet so it's pulling coolant away from my tapped port instead of pushing coolant into the steam port. Another knowledge gained from this build.
