How to keep Adel / cush clamps from twisting?

Like the subject says does anyone have any tricks how to keep the clamp from twisting when tightening the screw or bolt? I try to use existing bolts or screws whenever possible and that means the fastener is serving another purpose so it needs to be tight. When possible I try to give the clamp a " headstart" that way when it tightens it swings into the final position but this isn't always possible. I cannot be the only one that struggles with this and am hoping for some tricks. Thanks in advance!

Put a star lock washer between the two tabs of the clamp.
