      Hey Everyone.

Joined to draw from the wealth of information/expertise on this site.

I have a 1970 GTO that is currently under restoration. Looking to upgrade the wheels/tires to 18" US Mags Ramblers (front: 18x8, 4.5BS, +1mm offset / rear: 18x9.5, 5.25BS, +1mm offset) with Nitto 555 G2. Going to use a 2" drop spindle that supposedly widens the track 3/8" on each side.

Wondering what is the max tire width on front and rear that won't rub without any modifications taking into account the widened track? Was planning on 245/45/18 on front and 275/40/18 rear to keep the sidewall height and diameters similar. Will this work? If so, can I go any wider and keep the ratios similar without rubbing?

      Thanks for the help!

      Welcome!

I have a 70 GTO as well (there are a few on the site). I think your plan for the wheels and tires should be fine. Please do start a build thread.
