      Expanding radiator core

      Hello everyone
I have a 1967 Camaro with big bock chevy motor. I have the big block radiator in it. I noticed that the core support is blocking about one inch of the of the radiator core on each side. Would removing this small portion of sheet metal from each side assist in more air flow through the radiator.

I seriously doubt that one inch makes that much difference. Is it overheating now?

I wouldn't think so. You would get better results from making panels between the grille and radiator to force air through the radiator and keep it from spilling out the sides. Air, like water, seeks the path of least resistance.

Wouldn't be worth the effort. As mentioned, spend the time to make sure air is sealed to go where it's supposed to.
