      Tire choice help!

      All,

Im looking to buy a new set of tires 275/35/18's ... what's best for street driven with mild auto x/road course. I really enjoy the Michelin pilot super sports for the street on my gt350 and sport cup 2 on track.

I was thinking of sport 4s for the my Monte Carlo ss

Suggestions? the car will not see rain

These Kumho ECSTA PS91’s look pretty good. Only $164 with free shipping in your size 275/35ZR18. Asymmetrical too, so perfect for that square set up. Also, I see a $75 MasterCard rebate if you buy a set of 4. Good deal!

Damn.. those are a good deal! Makes me feel bad for purchasing a set of Sport 4s... damn things are pricey.

The PS91's are a decent street tire. They don't compare to the Pilot's, but they are substantially cheaper. Performance-wise, PS91's compare to the Firestone firehawks, BFG Comp TA's and stuff like that. They should have better shoulder wear than the Firehawks.

Another one I considered was the Goodyear Supercar 3. O.E. on some of the 1LE Camaros so I thought they should be a decent tire. I heard they were nasty in the wet once the tread wore a little, so I skipped on them. IF you truly mean no rain, that might be an option between the Kuhmo and the Michelins

I have FireHawk 255/35-18’s square on my BMW 330i. Awesome tires as well!
