Starting a fresh engine from 2 year storage lube question

Building a 1978 scout with one of my sons and as projects go sometimes - well most of the time
with us- it is taking a while. We are close to firing the new/rebuilt motor after 18-24 months since we built it. Mild SBC 355 , hydraulic cam, nothing fancy

i am not too worried about the cam lobes, bearings as I used the lithium based assembly lube from comp cams but I got to thinking about the piston rings. They have/had that total seal piston ring assembly lube on them and the bore.

we will prelude the engine with drill and break in properly

Opinions on hitting the inside of the cylinders with sone spray lubricant through the spark plug holes before 1st start ? Thinking of and engine fogging spray like you use on an outboard motor before storage to prevent rust. NOT a wd40 job ( I think that would just wash it down)
