      Lower control arm

70 camaro with viking dbl adj shocks
      My problem is
Cant adj shock without removing the wheel . It pretty tight
Also have ptfb upper and lower control arms .
I was thinking about drilling 2 holes in the side of Lca , so I could get a screwdriver to adj shock . But to do that I'd have to turn shock around.
Just wana see others opinions before I move fwd.Name: 20200429_152117.jpg

Can you bottom mount the shock so that it peaks under the arm?

Hey Rics71, do you end up figuring something out? I'm starting to install my Varishock DA's with new lower arms and realize I won't be able to access mine due to the spring in the way(I'm not coil over).

You definitely don't want to mount the trunnion on the bottom side of the control arm. That leaves the two bolts being what are holding the front of the car up, it'd be a bad day when those break. At least the way it is the trunnion is somewhat spreading the load on the top side of the control arm.

From looking at the picture, either the spring rate is very high (zero pre-load and the spanner nut is sitting on the dampening knobs making it almost impossible to adjust), or the shock is being driven too low.

what spring rate do you have? the higher spring rates we have made in a shorter height to be able to lower the car... is that spring in with any preload or just loose??

no problem drilling two hols to use a screw driver to adjust the knobs, or have the knobs face inboard, the shock hole is large enough to reach them
