My Weekend Warrior P.T. 68 Camaro Project

I've been lurking on this site for awhile now, thought it's about time I give a little input. A little background : This was my first car I pick up back in 1979. At that time I had very limited knowledge and resources, so just trying to keep it running was a big ordeal. The car sat and hasn't ran since 1985. I have always dreamed that someday I'll be able to built this car the way I wanted to. So about 3 years ago my buddy shows up at my house and tells me that he has a flatbed on the way to take the car to the body shop. So looks like that day has come !

Dennis and the crew at Foreign Motors Body Shop did all the metal repairs and body work :

When the body shop was done my buddy Scott from S.M.R. came and transported the car to his shop to do the suspension and chassis work. I went with Alston's Chassisworks front and rear protouring suspension, front sub-frame, and mini tubs :

My original plan was to go with a LT5 crate engine, then a friend told me about a deal Nelson Racing Engines had posted. I've always been a fan of N.R.E. but their engines had always been out of reach for me. But now it's within reach so I ran down and ordered it, Nelson 427 LS :

Now with this COVID 19 nightmare going on looks like everything's coming to a halt, hope to get this project up and running soon.

Man, trying to get parts been a nightmare lately. Everyone seems to be way behind. Finally got me a tranny, thanks to Bowler Performance Transmissions for coming through. Just waiting on a clutch from McLeod. Also been trying get a radiator system from AutoRad, talked to Jim late last year and he told me to check back first of 2021. Checked with Jim beginning of the year and they're already overloaded, told me to check back in June. Oh well, we'll just have to chip away at this project a little at a time.

Nice work! That motor looks killer and has the numbers to back it up.

Talk to Frank at Entropy, I had mine in 6 weeks. This was in November so the Covid was still an issue. Very nice radiator!

Only problem I found with my radiator was, the alignment on the fender braces don't seem to align on the support side due to the fill cap. If I had a gripe, that would be it.
