Just buy a Thin 22mm socket and see if that works first.

sorry to break it to you but those are not racing wheels that the designer would even contemplate accommodations for 5/8" studs, why did you not get hubs with 1/2" studs?

I have access to really affordable racing parts and the deeper I dig the more indications I find of the need for such "overdesigned" parts. Since posting this I did find that moroso makes 1/2 studs with the required huge knurl all the hubs I have use. Unfortunately, now that I am getting everything mocked up I am leaning towards even more backspace than any "on the shelf" wheel have.

I am price sensitive as I will likely want 3 sets of tires pre-mounted, requiring 3 sets of wheels. But yes, very aware now that quite a few of the American Racing wheels are neither American or racing. I will be reaching out to Coleman to see if I can get any significant reduction in scrub radius with some of their "custom" spindles. Unfortunately it is looking like I may have to go with custom spindles AND wheels by the time I am done, to get the fitment and sizes I am shooting for - also price driven.... Just trying really hard to exhaust all possibilities before throwing a ton of money at it...

Really appreciate all the knowledge in the forum!

Anyone know where I can get the American Racing VN510’s? Would like a Vintage Silver set. Called a few places and they’re out of stock. Back ordered from all this Covid crap.

Is wheel-geek still open? My connection gets rejected when I try to go to the site. I'm in the market for wheels.

You could always check into a set of factory rims with the style and fit you like.

I have ordered a few sets from Extreme Wheels in Arizona. Cheapest prices I found online. No tax and free shipping to me in NorCal. Also, type in the discount code “EXTREME6” during checkout for a little more savings.
