67-68 Camaro, Chevelle rebuilt tilt steering column

I have a tilt column i just finished tonight, it is finished in satin black and has billet levers on it , this column fits these cars ,,,

67-68 Camaro and Firebird , you will need a coupler for tilt if you are using stock steering box, direct fit

67 Chevelle/El Camino , you will need to build a Intermediate shaft with u-joints , your stock column goes all the way to steering box, direct fit otherwise

68 Chevelle/El Camino , direct fit needs nothing

This column is 100% Gm like all my tilts, $600 shipped and it ships tomorrow , i will need your non tilt returned in box with the new tilt came in please.

Yeah, I've bought one from Jim and I am really happy with mine as well. I even asked for something that was never made by GM.

I wish I’d have known about you a few months ago. I finally bought an Ididit column for my ‘68 El Camino. The lower column was not the same diameter as the stock GM column and I had to make a bushing to keep it from rattling around where it goes through the firewall. Also the turn signal actuator doesn’t work as smoothly as it does on the original GM columns.

I hope to be diving into a ‘70 El Camino in a few months and I’ll definitely be looking your way when it’s column-time.

well, yes this one will work , but you will have to do some work. the turn switch wiring is a complete opposite of this one, and i will have to see the column mount thats under the dash to see how much different they are, i may have one that will work and you will have to build a intermediate shaft , Jim

I've had the aftermarket Ididit column and it was no fun at all to install and never had the feel that the OE did. After Jim rebuilt and converted the original column to tilt it was so much nicer and fit the way it should. I would not run an aftermarket column again if it was given to me for free!
