Dales' guys did mine, Dan Lemons headers into 3" all stainless, I provided some parts, he provided some. It was about 32 hours work. I might be biased, but I think it came out very nice.

It wholey depends on the process and attention to detail.

If a migged up setup and raw stainless with off the shelf parts... way too high.

For a fully back purged, tigged setup with custom brackets and high quality polished mandrel bend parts... not so much. I'd say thats about right.

I just had the exhaust on my Cougar modified. The portion from the exhaust manifolds to the tailpipes was all redone. This is not fancy. I brought him all the parts, including a magna flow x-pipe, Borla mufflers, and two v-band clamps for between the mufflers and tailpipes. It was built out of 2.5" kink bend (not mandrel bent) tubing. It was $300 in labor and the pipe needed, plus the parts I purchased (parts and labor were about $600).

My Cougar is not a show car and after everything was checked for leaks, I painted everything with flat black high temp paint. I am very pleased with the results.
