      Carbon fiber parts

If you could choose a part on your car to replace with carbon fiber equivalent what would it be?

On my GTO it would be close between the hood and then endura bumper. Both are heavy. I’d also like to add hood vents, but feel bad cutting up an original with the hood tach.

I'll always say hood first. It has very little effect on impact resistance, sits up high on the chassis, and has a large surface area typically making it among the heaviest single panel on a vehicle.

Plus carbon hoods are coming with vents molded more and more now so that's a bonus.

I would say hood as well. I just wish someone made a regular Esprit version. All thats available are Formula or Trans Am ones.

I would rather have more aluminum body parts than more CF. Just a general comment.

I'd like a CF hood. I wouldn't rule out aluminum either. Wasn't it AMD that was making aluminum panels a few years ago?

Who besides Anvil are CF parts makers?
