tko600 to t56 magnum for autocross

Making some changes to my autocross/roadtrack 69 camaro(ls3 427 650Hp). Having trouble with tko600 missing shift to second at higher rpm. I have to either shift early or shift slower to let rpm drop. The trans has the carbon fiber synchros that were done about 3 yrs ago. Seems like getting worse. So debating freshening up or go to t56 magnum. I am looking at a race prepped t56 but the gearing has me thinking. I am used to 2.87/1.89/1.28/1.00 with the tko and 3.73 rear. The t56 has 2.29/1.60/1.21/1.00. I want to keep ability to pull strong out of corners in second. So not sure how would like the lower 2nd gear ratio. Anyone with experience with these gears?

That trans probably works better with a 4.11

Decided to go with bowler transmissions stage 2 t56 magnum with 2.66/1.78/1.30/1.00 gears. Going with the night stick shifter. They are doing some modifications to improve shifting, carbon fiber synchros, vesel shift fork pads, and upgrades to second gear as well as 1-2 synchro hub. Looking forward to improvements during autocross. Jeff at Bowler helped out a lot and came up with a good package for the tranny swap. Name: 640EEC38-93D5-463C-ADB6-7216DF5104E4_1_105_c.jpeg

Awesome. Bowler is great. I bought my magnum and much of the conversion from them as well.
