Braided Stainless Hydroboost lines

I am wanting to clean up the engine compartment so I will be making new power steering lines. My idea is to route the lines over the inner fender so that they are hidden in the fender, then they will come out the front, and under the air cleaner, to the steering box/pump. A few things I am wondering...
1. The lines will need to be approx 16” longer. Is there any issue with the lines being longer?
2. Will it be an issue that the reservoir won’t be the highest point of the system?
3. I am thinking of using Aeroquip AQP hoses, is there a better alternative out there?
4. I will be adding a return fitting to the stock plastic LS3 reservoir to eliminate the “T”...Is there anything to consider here?
