      New guy from OC Ca

New guy here from Orange County Ca. I've been lurking for a bit but haven't posted. Great forum here for finding info. I had a 67 Chevelle but sold it, now I'm working on a 64 Chevelle SS. Always wanted to go pro touring route, but this car will mainly be a street car that handles good. Body off resto, tubular arms front and back, QA1 adjustable shocks, CPP springs and big sway bars, quick ratio box, posi rear and 350 crate (aluminum heads) with 700R4.

Just put 18" rims/tires on last week. Running 18x8 (4.5" BS) 225/40-18 front, and 18x9 (5" BS) 265/40-18 on the rear. Fun car so far, but got a few more things to do.

Changing out the shifter, adding A/C and swapping the dash out for dakota digital for now. Looking into an LS swap, but still researching the swap. I bought this car with intentions of doing the LS, but the motor/trans are fresh so I may as well get some miles out of it!

No, I haven't. Where's the track in our area?

Drive it hard then do the LS swap, tub it with some wide tires out back. Going with Vintage Air?

The primary location is Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. There are also some autocross events at Aneheim Stadium (Pure Track) and San Pedro (Porsche Club).

I actually wrote a SoCal autocross guide if you want to read more info.

Autocross only requires a large paved surface, not an actual track. But if you wanted to take your car on a road course check out this SoCal racetrack locations guide.
