Minitubs for '68 Cougar?
New here, hope this is the right forum for this as I wasn't sure. As the title says, looking to put mini tubs in my Cougar. Although usually they are advertised that they fit Mustang AND Cougar, the Cougars rear wheel wells are in fact longer and after I got off the phone with a tech from Mustangs to Fear he was pretty clear that they will in fact not work. Just checking if anybody knows of any option, or if I'm in for some custom sheet metal work. Thanks in advance.

Here's the problem with the Mustang style mini tubs. I bought these +2 and they do not fit at the rear section due to the cougar being squared off. I had some custom fabbed tubs made and the shop ended up banging out that rear part to round out the tubs instead to the new fabbed ones. I ended up welding the tack welds even though the shop told me it was ok as is...I wasn't comfortable with that.
