Congrats on finding your ride. Where did you end up buying it from? What are your full plans for the project? I have always liked those little Novas. Small and light. Easy to make fast.

Plans are as follows:

Supercharged LS2(Wanna try and make 600 RWHP)
t-56
Full rail chassis w/ c-5 IFS and c-4 IRS
Wilwood Discs

You get the idea....I'm also working with my builder to try and center as much of the mass towards the middle for better handling. I'm going to move back the engine as much as possible and put a fuel cell under the package tray. Basically try and move it all between the front and rear suspension. I may even employ fiberglass bumpers that have been chromed just to shave a little more weight off the ends!

Thats going to be an awesome build. I will be keeping my eyes on this one and make sure you post any of your updates. Even if they seem minor, they are still appreciated my many of us even if no one replies. I would love to see more and more people show their progress pics instead of just waiting until the project is done. I like the idea with the fuel cell under the package tray. Make sure you build a "firewall" piece between the back seat and the trunk. That way in case of fire it will keep as much of it in the trunk as possible. I still need to do the same thing since my fuel cell is also in the trunk.

Probably 18's all around with 315 or 335's in the back and either 285 or 295 in the front.

Finally got this beast in to fab! Couple of photos of the wheel fitment/stance. Wheels in the photo are 18's in the rear 17's in front. Opinions welcome!

I personally think if you kick the wheel sizes up to 19" rear and 18" front it would give it a little better look. Also any thoughts on using Morrison's GMax chassis with vette front and their new 3-Link in the rear?

Don't want to get the "Wagon Wheel" effect with such big wheels plus the ratio from front to back would make it harder to engineer the IFS to not hit the fenders, Rack, Rails, etc in terms of turn radius and bump travel in relation to the ride height. I spoke to Craig Morrison a little but I really want to get this thing started and it seems that they are still in the prestages of finishing up their design for the II. I like their Gmax Chassis and we will be doing something similar to it. Front end on this project will be C6 lowers and custom uppers. I'm not sure how AM is going to pull off the C5 'Vette UCA as we haven't been able to make it work for us unless they are going to go with the stock 'vette attach points but then the Roll center is to high. We tried to improve the FVSA so that our RC was better but because of the height of the 'vette spindle the ball joint was binding so we decided to not use the 'vette upper. The rear is going to be C6 IRS. Anyone at AM care to comment on this please do. The shop I am using http://www.ironworksspeedandkustom.com/ is close so I can go in and hound them(Rodger Lee, the owner, is probably cringing)! Check out the '57 truck they are building.
