      Moved to the Louisville area

      Hello Everyone,

Life has found me moving to the Louisville area for about a year. Anyone around the area that wants to hang out on occasion and show me around the local car scene? I don't have my Cougar here yet, but I will have it here by the end of the month.

Hey Andrew, the weekend after Labor Day in Washington IN they (20th Century Chevy) hasve a cruise in and car show the next day 400-600 cars, cruise around town show off cars. Not BAD weekend and if you plan accordingly the cruise is Sat, show on Sunday if you cruise up on Friday you can stop by ridetech, maybe slip over to Brets new hangout if he has it squared away.
They usually have a decent chilli supper day of the cruise.

Its small town show but generally lots of fun.
Still trying to get an autocross going.
Also if you like hitting small town drive ins in Loogootee IN is Dairy Master and over in Shoals is Bo-Macs.
Washington also has real Masons Root Beer stand.
And down town Washington has The New Whitesteamer (think locally done like Whitecastles but not small burgers) and they make a great American Fries/German Fries(fried potatoes with our with out onions).

I was your friend once (at least I thought I was)...then you moved away...oh wait, I guess that would have been a good enough reason to move away...hehehe
I bet you dont even 'member me (did you ever find out about that spare GTO body you had in storage??).
good luck in whatever adventure you're on now.

I don't forget people...I never did investigate the old body. I'm sure it's long gone! Do you still have your 70 GTO?

yep...still have it. took it to Columbus a couple weeks ago. I chickened out and trailerd it down, but then Matt's car broke so in the trailer it went and I drove GTO 7 hours in the nearly 100 heat. never missed a beat.
I drive my ZL1 a bit more than the GTO and my daily driver Raptor is my favorite (go figure).

      I'm in Louisville!

There's a lot of cruise-ins for old farts on weekends. There's a Cars 'n Coffee at Captain's Quarters every second Saturday of the Month.

The Louisville Street Rods put on a huge show in Iroqouis Park every September.

And I'll be putting a new transmission in sometime next week if you're bored and want to help me lift it onto the stand and put it in. :-p

I also have a large outside deck, outside stereo, and an adult beverage supplier within staggering distance.

The local SCCA Region is very active, and not snotty. We just had our second Time Trial regional this past Sunday, and there's an autocross at NCM this coming Sunday, and a few more this year, with the last one at the fairgrounds. Hit www.kyscca.com for the schedule.
