Header fitment with ride tech suspension in 74 Nova with true-turn

Any advice or experience with this

Anyone have header fitment issues using Ride tech Level2 suspension? I do. I have this suspension in my 69 Camaro, possibly switch to Detroit Speed or Speed Tech. The Tru-turn hits the headers and Moroso oil pan in my Camaro. I have Lemons headers on the Camaro. Will the following headers work in my 74 Nova with the Ride tech level 2 with Tru-turn? So now, unfortunately because of my investment with the Lemons Headers, I plan on removing this Ride tech from my CAMARO to install in my Nova using Hedman 304 Stainless Steel Headers 62276, which I have not purchased yet.

I take it you are running a small block non LS engine by the part number you listed for the headers. They show to fit a 75 camaro. I guess they may fit the nova as well. What oil pan and engine mounts are you running? Maybe a call to ridetech with that info before changing your entire suspension.

In my 69 Camaro I have a 427 BBC, Dan Lemons Headers, Moroso Street/Strip Oil Pan 20413, stock engine mounts. I have not started restoring my Nova yet. 1974 Nova has the stock sub frame, 400SBC, stock oil pan and stock engine mounts. I have called Ride Tech, their answer was they can't guarantee fitment and don't offer advice. Like some header companies, they don want to give wrong information, incase they are wrong. They do not want to take responsibility for their parts not fitting. It's on the buyer to decided if it fits or not before you buy, without having the product in hand to do any test fitting. I get that! The only way to really know is to ask others who have tried.

By far the best fitting header that I have seen is built by the guys at Ultimate Headers. They're a swept-back design and are tucked tightly up to the floor pan so you won't have the typical low hanging issues. I have been working with one of their owners for a while, sending over pictures/dimensions (and test fitting them on our shop cars/customer cars).

At the moment, they have the guys running an LS engine taken care of. They clear all of the Tru-Turn components by a mile. They are in the process of doing a SBC header for the Tru-Turn as we speak.

We're working on building some part numbers right now to list on our website that we will be offering. This has been one of most asked questions that I've received throughout the time that I've been here. After seeing the the fitment/quality on our personal cars, I do feel confident these won't cause a bit of issues. Let me know if anyone has any questions or wants to put an order together, I can help out either way.
