Hmm. Its kind of hard to explain. The ucas are made for a mustang. The only difference between the stangs and torinos are mounting bolt locations. The kmember and spindles are actually made to use a strut type set up. The aje spindle adapter just mated all the components together. I was able to adjust the uca as short as possible but at ride height it still had positve camber. Its all ripped out now. Shock towers cut out and adding some c notches to the front. Right now what im trying to accomplish is the entire front suspension and front axle can be a complete drop out with the removal of minimal bots (8 front cradle/axle/suspension 6 drive shaft and 1 bolt steering) kind of like the rear axle.

Started putting together the front axle and suspension. Im pretty sure between the IRS rear, transfer case, front axle and turbos this will be over 4000 lbs. Oh well.

Some tiny progress this week. Swapped out the sn95 mustang spindles for the 14 taurus sho spindles. A big plus for the brakes were the 14 inch rotors. I had my doubts on whether my 18 inch rocket wheels would clear the caliper. I had about an inch or so of space left. Aluminum spindles and 14 inch brakes were definitely a plus for the awd conversion and it fills the wheels in so well.

I have stoptech 6 pistons and 14” rotors under the same wheels. No problem.

12-11-2019 #46At the other end of the spectrum, i bought a $170 plasma cutter from Wal-Mart online. I was very shaky even with a strait edge. I havent used one in so long i felt like an idiot when i started cutting. But it all works out incthe end. This is the front c notch im cutting out.
