AWD twin turbo 69 ford Cobra sports roof build.
Hey guys Wil here building a ford cobra. I'm neck deep in this build and thought id share what I have up until now. The shell was about 700 bucks. I picked it up in Missouri in 2017. Prior to this I had a 69 torino gt but I was always set on the cobra. The shell was bad enough to where the last guy that had it was going to scrap it if nobody bought it. It seemed like the perfect candidate for me to cut up.

Speedmaster heads that needed a lot of work just to make the pushrods fit right and not hit the walls. Id say they are only worth it if you are willing to do some of the machining by hand (Dremel is your best friend here). The valve train is all comp cams using a hydraulic flat off the shelf cam. And then topped off with the speedmaster Itbs (again lots of work). I am using a fast xfi sportsman ecu to handle the fuel injection and a stand alone computronix COP ignition system.

Funny story is i went to pick up a t5 just so I can get it running and driving. When i showed up it was actually a t56 and the guy still gave it to me for 300 bucks. Score! Also pictured is a ford racing flywheel and McLeod clutch
