LS Swap with speedtech Sitting too far forward

Hey guys , just upgraded my already LS Swapped 69 Camaro with Speedtech Pro Touring subframe. Going to put everything together and the engine sits too far forward and low versus how it sat before.

My intake tube off the throtte body will not fit as there is not 4" between the rad fans and power steering reservoir. The intake tube fit perfect with stock subframe. I slid the engine as far back as the adjustments on the frame stands would allow but still no luck.

I am out of ideas. Does anyone make a motor mount adapter plate the will set the engine back further?

      Any suggestions?

      Thanks

      Anthony

Dirty Dingo makes sliding adjustable LS mounting plates.

No chance that you have the mounts on the wrong side?

In my 2nd gen with the same setup, it sits closer to the firewall. I don't recall exactly, but I believe it is possible to install the factory GM mounts on the wrong sides.

The adapter plates that bolt to the block can be installed backwards. Probably the case here.

I saw your other post about the control arm hitting the inner fender. Any resolve to this? I am having the same issues.

LS Swap with speedtech Sitting too far forward

I have the speedtech frame with an ls3

Speedtech does sell engine plates that set the engine back and their ls frame stands that has the longer drivers side stand and a shorter passenger side stand

I will have to get the part numbers when i get out of work

Or you can email chad at speedtech

Thanks for replying Sinnister. We got this resolved in a suspension thread not long after. Right now it is on page 2 of suspension. I put some decent pictures in the thread if I do say so myself!
