      Lost Power steering ... WTF???

This is a brand new unit part of the Concept 1 serpentine system. I took it for a nice 80 mile run on Friday, started the car Saturday morning and no power steering :surprise:.. . Opened the reservoir and it's full but no fluid movement. I figure i'll pull the lines, drain the system, crank the wheel left & right a few times with hoses off to push out more fluid, blow the lines out, refill, and try to bleed... Any thoughts? advice? Anyone know what pump this is? If it's available from Summit or Jegs or??

If it’s a Saginaw pump, the valve may be sticking. Remove the pressure line and the flow valve. The spring and piston is behind. Be sure it operates freely in its bore.

Most of the aftermarket serpentines are using GM type II pumps.

is your problem fixed? it looks like your steering box is as close to your headers as mine is. I think that is why my steering starts out working ok, but in just a few miles it starts getting hard to steer at times.
